Thomas Hanna Somatics Exercises Transformative Method can help you reclaim your body:
  • to regain brain control over the tight muscles of your body,
  • to consciously pandiculate muscles and with control lengthen and release tension,
  • to realign and rebalance the entire body.

The Somatics Exercise course runs for ten weeks during which you will be given step-by-step instructions and applications for more than 20 exercises. At each lesson, you will learn: 
  • how to identify areas of sensory-motor amnesia, (SMA is the condition of chronically-tight muscles),
  • how to pandiculate (means consciously tighten) correctly to facilitate release and lengthening of contracted muscles,
  • how to become better body conscious through specific Somatics Exercises in order to create harmoniously sound movement patterns,
  • how to reverse the physical effects of aging, alleviate back and joint pain, improve posture and enjoy life fully!

Thomas Hanna (1928-1990), was a philosopher, educator and the originator of the contemporary term ‘Somatics’ – derived from the Greek word Soma, meaning the living body. He defined the method as “the kind of training disciplines that address the unification of the mind and body”. Hanna developed a series of exercises that focused on “changing the muscular system by changing the central nervous system”. Moving 'slowly and gently' are two key principles of his system.
